Explanation of a conventional call.

When a bid has been alerted (as being conventional) any player may ask for a full explanation , but only at his turn to bid. Good players recommend that questions are left until the auction is over, unless you have a need to know.

Explanations should be full and accurate. Merely naming the convention is not sufficient. If you really haven't a clue what partner's bid means, you can say so.
