Odds and  ends

Supporting partner, after a suit bid, with 13-15 points

Make sure that you are happy with the preamble which precedes the 6-8 point exposition.

With this strength and support for partner, you can be sure that game is on and you should be thinking of a slam. With minor suit support, you attempt to angle your bidding to a 3NT contract. Opposition bidding here offers you a double for penalties as an option to your game.

S A32 Raising 1H to 4H would be OK, but a  waiting bid of 2C is best. After a 3NT rebid from partner, you would then be thinking of a slam.

S KQ6542 Raising partner's 1S to 4S would probably be best on this shapely, aceless hand. Expect the opponents to contest heavily in hearts !

After 1 S from partner followed by an overcall of 2H by right-hand opponent, I would double. 4S is on, but we will probably get more by defending. Opponents will also be suitably chastened.

S A5 After 1D from partner, I would prefer a direct 3NT to any other bid.
